DevOps Engineer

Quance Research Capital LLP is a quantitative trading firm that is steering financial markets with advanced technologies. We are looking to hire DevOps Engineers, who will responsible for the day to day operational support and stability of the infrastructure. This team also focuses on designing and developing enterprise level solutions for the firm. You will be an instrumental member of our unique, people first culture, where your blend of collaboration, technical prowess, cross functional interactions, team mentorship, and overall problem solving will be relied upon to lead your teams towards continual improvement in software engineering excellence.

Job Description:

Design and implementation of robust solutions, like monitoring, metrics infrastructure, cloud infrastructure, etc.
Implement best practices for software build, deployment and maintenance.
Support our other teams with administration and operational tasks for the projects.
Analyse business application requirements, identify concerns and develop action plans
Maintenance and support for trading applications.
Assist with capacity planning and load testing of our applications.
Contributing to the design and implementation of the support system to enhance reliability.
Drive Automation efforts across the organization utilizing Infrastructure to reduce manual efforts.
Work closely with trading teams and other technology teams to achieve a common goal.
Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team.

Skill required:

The role suits a tech savvy who has keen interest in both financial markets. Other requirements are:

3-4 years of hands on experience in HFT/Trading domain and a strong technology acumen coupled with excellent people management skills.
B.Tech (or an equivalent degree) in Computer Science/ Information technology or CCNA certified

Ability to deploy or work with version control system like GIT, SVN
Automate configuration management using tools like Ancible or Puppet
Configure build systems like maven and integrate with GIT
Experience automating workflows using tools like Airflow
Ability to work with Jenkins for CI/CD integration

A proven track record of success in working in a fast paced production environment.
Strong Python programming skills.
In depth Linux administration experience and OS knowledge.
Strong sense of ownership and urgency.
Excellent oral and written communication skill.
Strategically focused, and experienced in developing multi-year strategies and roadmaps that drive execution and results.
